We Made It

It's the end of the first full week of Jordyn in public school. We've all survived, more or less. Jordyn has been super excited to go every day. I'm left wondering how long it will take to miss the days of 3 days a week preschool.

Mom and Dad are good, but tired. Ashley has had a super crazy schedule at work and this week was a true test of our "back up plans". Both Ashley's dad an my dad have helped out with pick ups and drop offs, and we even made it to the Tuesday dance class on time....

We might end up being OK after all....

As a celebration for Jordyn for being such a big girl, we took a trip to the "Bayhouse" and had a fantastic time as usual. Thanks Uncle Jerry!

It was both an exciting (for Jordyn) and scary (for Mom and Dad) day as Jordyn began her first year at public school.  She has been attending a preschool/daycare program since she was about 2 or so, and was excited to start kindergarten. She was all decked out in her Hello Kitty outfit and back pack.

She came home excited and looking forward to going back, while Mom and Dad are anxious to get settled into the new routines and scheduling challenges this will bring!

Joel and Tre

Well, we now need to add another event on our calendars for July 13th in addition to Dad's birthday (Happy Birthday, Dad)...Joel and Tre's anniversary.  (Wonder if having an anniversary on the same day as another event you've been celebrating for so long will help remember your anniversary?)

Anyway, Ashley,  Jordyn, and I were all a part of the wedding. Ashley was a Bride's Maid, Jordyn a Flower Girl (of course) and I was the Best Man.  The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was fun and full of both food and dance.

Being the Best Man, I was (happily) obligated to give a speech. For those who have expressed interest in a copy of the speech...you can download it here.

Since we did not bring our camera to the wedding we don't have any snapshots of our own to post, but we've been "donated" some by Ashley's dad. Hopefully we'll get more from other family members to put up here as well.

Best of luck to both of you and have a great time roaming around New England!
